Vice-President Scott Kornegay served as President for 2018 – 2019. Scott is the City manager for the City of Keystone Heights. He is a lifelong public servant having recently retired from the Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department in Jacksonville, Florida, after nearly 24 years of service. Scott holds a Master of Public Administration degree from the University of North Florida and a Bachelor of Science degree in public administration from Flagler College. He is a veteran of the United States Air Force and Florida Air National Guard.
Cheryl J. Owen is serving as secretary this year. This is her second term as secretary, having stepped up to replace our Secretary last year when she had to step down due to health issues. She has a Bachelors Degree from the University of Colorado. A Masters Degree in Public Administration was added later. She was a Senior Administrator of a Hospital Division, and held positions of responsibility in other organizations such as State and County Government. She has also been a consultant, adjunct professor and grant writer. Since retiring and moving to Florida 16 years ago, she turned her focus to the natural environment, through formal studies and the State’s Master Gardener Program and manages the Farmers Market at Midway. She also found time to serve on several boards and contribute to civic events such as the Community Redevelopment Advisory Board and Our Country Day. She currently serves on the Clay County Library Board and the Historic Preservation Board as well as the Keystone Heights Heritage Commission. She is a graduate of the 2018 NEFRC Leadership Academy.
Treasurer Shelley Gibbs has been Treasurer for so long nobody (including her) can remember when she wasn’t! She is also a two time past President of the Rotary Club of Keystone Heights. Shelley is a Vice-President and Branch Manager for Ameris Bank in Keystone Heights.
Harold Gilstrap is our Community Service Director. A past President of our Rotary Club (twice!), Harold is currently President of the Lake Area Business Association and owner of Gilstrap and Associates.
